Are you ready for a full week of intensive pottery on the wheel? In this course, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of pottery for several consecutive days. We'll focus on shaping cylinders and bowl-making techniques. There will also be room for your individual preferences.

Are you not familiar with the pottery wheel yet, but interested in working with clay and ceramics? Perhaps you have already attended a crash course? Are you ready to dedicate a whole week to throwing on the wheel? This course is aimed at those who would prefer a compact intensive course and don't want to come back every week. Over 4 full days in the studio, you will be guided through various techniques on the pottery wheel. During this time you will have the opportunity to make between 10 and 15 items.

Course details:

  • Course duration: 32 hours on 4 days, 7 hours each day except 4 hours on the glazing evening
  • Times: 10:00 – 13:00, 14:00 – 17:00 Glazing Evening (Fridays 8 days later) 18:00- 22:00
  • Minimum number of participants: 3 persons
  • Maximum number of participants: 6 persons
  • Only for persons aged 16 and over
  • Works: 10-15 pottery items can be produced.
  • Material and firing costs, as well as lunch, are included in the price
  • Language: German and English
  • Course instructors: Denise Kratzer, Yolanda Blumenthal, Stephan Usteri in autumn
  • Note: No warranty claims. Liability lies with the participants.

The glazing of the objects will take place on the following Friday (8 days later) from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This evening will also be our closing evening, where you will have the opportunity to glaze your pieces while enjoying a relaxed aperitif. Throughout the week, we will eat at nearby restaurants, and the cost is included in the price.

Cancellation conditions

 

Cancellation conditions:

  1. Cancellation by participants: No refund for cancellations within 4 weeks before the start of the course or after the start of the course. Free cancellation 6 or more weeks before the course starts. We charge a fee of CHF 50 for cancellations 4-6 weeks before the course starts.

  2. Course cancellation by organiser: If the course is cancelled by the organiser, the course fee will be refunded in full.

  3. Substitute participant: Admission of substitute participants is permitted.

  4. Course changes: Organiser may change course details; participants will be informed in time.
