STUDIO SEDIMENT
In this three-hour course, participants learn how to cast porcelain. Various casting molds are provided by us. We will work with white and colored porcelain in different applications, resulting in unique individual objects (coffee cups or bowls).

Growing up in Zurich, Marcel Krummenacher moved to Germany for his ceramics training at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle. After completing his studies in 2016, he opened his ceramics studio in Zurich. Since 2020, functional and handcrafted porcelain products and objects have been created under the name Studio Sediment.
The focus of this porcelain casting workshop is on teaching the basic knowledge of the casting process as well as an initial introduction to porcelain. We concentrate on the material properties, the production process, and various design techniques.
Participants have the opportunity to create 3 objects themselves.
The resulting objects will then be fired and transparently glazed by us.
This course is suitable for beginners.

Cancellations and Rebooking
- Participant Cancellation & Rescheduling: Free 14 or more days before the course starts. A fee of CHF 50 applies 7–14 days before the start. No refunds or rescheduling permitted within 7 days of the start or after the course begins. Rebooking is subject to availability and limited to once per booking.
Course cancellation by organiser: If the course is cancelled by the organiser, the course fee will be refunded in full.
Substitute participant: Admission of substitute participants is permitted.
Course changes: Organiser may change course details; participants will be informed in time.
