Our team
Our pottery team is a passionate group of artists dedicated to the art of pottery. Each member of our team brings a unique perspective and creative energy that results in a diverse and inspiring atmosphere.
My name is Denise Kratzer and I have a degree in business administration and event marketing. Since 2016, I completely fell in love with clay.
As the founder of DB - Pottery Studio GmbHo, I have not only turned the studio into a creative centre, but also created a platform to promote art and craft in their community. I regularly organise exhibitions and events to showcase the work of my members and other local artists and to promote the appreciation of ceramic art.
Natascha Madeiskioriginally from Italy, has a master's degree in architecture. She taught as an architecture lecturer at several universities in England where she first came into contact with the world of ceramics in 2010 and consequently acquired her experience with ceramics self-taught.
Natascha teaches some of our courses and also works as an administrator for db pottery.
Sam Cavalcanti is a marketing professional who is also a passionate craftswoman. She discovered her passion for applied arts in ceramics at an early age. Her name is Yolanda Blumenthal. Originally working as a psychologist, she began looking for a creative outlet a few years ago – and found it in ceramics. Yolanda especially loves bold, colorful pieces that are both functional and stylish.

She will support the members with her expertise and Dina is also working on various productions for db pottery studio

Highly recommend!💙 I did my first course with Denise (the founder) in 2021 when she was still teaching at a small space with 3 wheels only. She already had the vision to create this new bigger space, with courses and open access memberships and to see how this came to life and what a community she and the team built here is amazing💫 I've been a member since 1.5years now and always love to come to the studio♡ Markus Popp2023-07-01Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Geniale Workshops, superschönes Studio! Iris2023-06-30Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My love story with clay starts with a workshop at db-pottery, by far the most beautiful ceramic studio in Zurich, led by the most wonderful ladies – thank you Denise, Raisa, Ljubica and Natascha for making this possible! In the meantime, I became a member trying to realize my ideas in the creative atmosphere of this happy place. An exciting journey! Aber bei db-pottery fühlte ich mich sofort wohl. Das Konzept für Mitglieder ist super und die Kurse sind super und auch preiswert. Als ich einen Kurs abgeschlossen hatte, wurde ich sofort Mitglied=) Diana Hatamian2022-09-08Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I planned a team building activity here with my colleagues and it was amazing!! Denise was so accommodating and so helpful during the whole event! I work at a tech company so the team was a bit skeptical at first on this activity, but everyone loved it! Super nice touch with Beer, Prosecco and Apero! We also each got to make two pieces and take them home! Krebs Anna2022-07-04Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. NDP – Nicole Davidson Productions2022-06-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Herzlichen Dank!
