FUNKY CUPS

In this course, we will focus on making cylindrical porcelain cups in different colours. We will work on the pottery wheel and try out different throwing techniques to produce different patterns. This can result in striped, colour-blocked, or inside and outside different coloured cylindrical cups.

We start by making our own coloured porcelain. A combination of two colours is then put together using the colour blocking technique. This is a playful way of creating a basic cylinder. This technique can also be independently adapted to different shapes afterwards.

By throwing the cups when they are leather-hard, the graphic two-colour pattern of your cups is revealed.

This course is suitable for advanced students who want to work with porcelain. Beginners are welcome, but some prior knowledge is recommended.

Anyone who would like to can come to the drop in turning on 04.11 between 14:00 and 20:00.
